*All the little framing details*

The roof is all the way on now, I apparently didn't have an updated picture of it.
An ode to my square window obsession!
More square windows and a place for a wood burning stove....hopefully.....
Cute little playhouse, one of the best areas for toy organization! Seriously!
Kitchen windows, kitchen windows, KITCHEN WINDOWS!!!
Sun tube, I'll cover that in a minute.
Master entertainment wall, more square windows. It's all about the details!
A ginormous garage! Kris is really happy!

I heart details, a lot! So does my husband, not quite as much as me so this drives him a little crazy! :) I'm so in love with square windows. I just think they add so much. These types of things just add so much more to the custom feel of a house. All the square windows are 18x18 in. The ones in our family room in the basement have been designed around an entertainment center. They will sit on top of two book cases that will go on either side of a T.V. I'm super excited to see how they come together!
The kitchen windows, ahhhh, the kitchen windows. I'm seriously so excited to have a window over my sink. I wanted them huge! The biggest they could go, in fact the go to the counter. We had them tempered so they could. No back splash, just window. I'm gonna feel like Rose on Titanic, you know the "I'm flying" part! I might even convince Kris to act out that scene with me while doing dishes!! I can already see his eyes roll....
We have the start of insulation at this point. They still need to come back and put the interior insulation in and finish up. We did interior walls mostly for sound barrier. It's a very open plan so we thought it would help with the noise situation. Sheetrock next week!!
The sun tube in my laundry is another favorite of mine! Because our garage is so gigantic I have no windows in my laundry. I LOVE LOVE natural light so we had to figure something out. Enter the sun tube. These are the next best thing to an actual window. They come with three items, the dome shaped window that goes on the roof, the tube that connects the roof window and the ceiling window and the ceiling window. The idea is kind of like a sun light without being able to see sky. Lots of light with minimal hassle! Fairly inexpensive too. Luckily these little babies are easier to get that they use to be. When we did this 6 years ago we had to special order the whole system. And it didn't include the flex tube. It was quite a bit more. We got this one at Homedepot for around $300. Well worth it for super dark rooms.
Love all the little details! They make huge projects a lot funner! :)
